Our Support
At Her First Place, we believe in leading by example — and putting action behind our words.
100% of the proceeds from the book go directly to the Foundation.
Every book purchased helps fund grants, education, and resources for first-time Black women homebuyers.
In addition, when a woman begins her homebuying journey, we connect her with a trusted, experienced Realtor in her local area. These agents are carefully selected to ensure she receives the highest level of service, advocacy, and support.
Through this partnership, a referral fee is earned — but here is where Her First Place is different:
Half of the referral fee is returned to the buyer to help cover closing costs or other approved homebuying expenses.
The other half is donated to the Foundation to help another woman follow in her footsteps.
This means every woman who buys a home through Her First Place is helping another woman do the same.

We envision a future where every woman has access to the financial tools, education, and advocacy necessary to secure a place of her own — and pass that legacy on.

Our mission is to remove the financial and systemic barriers that prevent Black women from purchasing their first homes.
Through education, down payment and closing cost assistance, and partnerships with trusted real estate professionals, we empower women to move from renters to homeowners.
We exist to educate, uplift, and equip her with everything she needs to cross the finish line with confidence.
